About us
I started SLØR because I saw a real need for authentic, modest clothing here in Norway and across Scandinavia. Most stores offer abayas and hijabs that follow fashion trends — decorated with glitter, patterns, or made from thin, see-through fabrics — but that does not fulfill the true purpose of modest wear.
My goal is to create garments that are 100% halal, providing full coverage and comfort. Clothes that women like Khadija (RA), Maryam (AS), and our respected mothers in Islam could have worn — clothing you can pray in without needing extra layers, made to please Allah, not people.
The name SLØR comes from the Norwegian word slør, meaning veil. To me, it symbolizes modesty, dignity, and faith — the essence of what this brand stands for.
I’ve personally struggled to find such clothing here, always having to order from abroad and pay high customs fees. That’s why I decided to take matters into my own hands and build this brand, insha Allah.
For me, this is more than a business — it’s an intention for the sake of Allah, an investment in the Akhira. I am committed to ensuring that everything is done ethically and transparently — from product to pricing to the way I work. My aim is for SLØR to be something I can be proud of, and something Allah may reward me for.
My dream is to make it easy for sisters in Scandinavia to access pure, modest clothing that brings dignity, protection, and closeness to Allah. And inshallah, as SLØR grows, my vision is to reach sisters all over the world with authentic, modest fashion.
